Your upper limbs can be placed under constant stress and strain. Elbow, hand and wrist pain can happen to anyone, whether you are sedentary or extremely active. In order to give us such a precise range of flexibility and movement, our hand and wrist is made up of 27 bones, the most in any part of your body, controlled by a network of muscles, tendons, nerves and ligaments. With so many ‘moving parts’, as well as fragile bones, it will come as no surprise to learn that injuries and problems can be very common.

Our state-of-of-the-art imaging services will allow for a rapid diagnosis of your upper limb problem, which could include an x-ray, MRI or ultrasound.

Once a diagnosis has been made our specialists will then be able to recommend what your next steps might be. These could include non-invasive pain management such as painkillers, anti-inflammatories and physiotherapy through to hand and nerve surgery to treat conditions like Dupuytren’s disease, De Quervain's Disease or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Our team also works closely with our musculoskeletal physiotherapists who will be able to offer you advice and exercises to help you regain motion in your arm in as quick a time as possible.
